Becoming a Prospective Member

RMRG's Sunday field practices (and occasional Wednesday night practices) are only open to members and explicitly approved prospective members. In order to participate in field practices and apply for membership, prospective members must first complete the Prospective Training Program (PTP).

After completing the PTP, it takes Prospective Members (PM's) anywhere from six to eighteen months of regular attendance at meetings and practices before being ready to submit a membership application. Election to membership is determined by a majority vote of active members. Completion of the PTP is absolutely not a guarantee of election to membership.

Although not required, nearly all of our members live in Boulder County.

Prospective Training Program

We have recently completed the Fall 2015 PTP and have welcomed a new class of Prospective Members. The Fall 2015 PTP consisted of 2 field weekends (full day trainings each Saturday and Sunday). After the PTP, new Prospective Members are required to maintain a minimum attendance of 2 practices and 2 meetings in every calendar quarter in order to continue to be allowed to attend field practices.

We evaluate the need for new member recruitment on a rolling basis and we have not yet scheduled the next PTP. Please check back on our website frequently for new information; though there is not a specific date, it is likely we will know the 2016 PTP schedule sometime in March.

If you would like to attend our next PTP, please email us at so that we have your contact details and so that we can send you a link to a survey about your background and interests.

Membership Policy (PDF) - describes the process and requirements for applying. You are responsible for knowing the requirements of a Support member and the application process according to Membership Policy.
